Mississauga School Catchment & Strategic Relocation Audit

Strategic Outlook 2026: The "Capping" & Transit Pivot

PMP Risk Management: Mississauga's landscape is shifting due to the Hazel McCallion LRT. In high-density corridors like Churchill Meadows (L5M), schools are often "Capped." This means buying a home next to a school does not guarantee a spot; you may be bused to an overflow facility. We perform technical Capacity Audits for every property on your shortlist.

The Relocation FAQ: Technical Due Diligence

1. What is 'School Capping' and how does it affect my home purchase?
Capping occurs when a school reaches its maximum safety capacity. Even if you live on the same street, the PDSB may redirect you to an overflow school. As your PMP broker, we verify the "Capping Status" of every listing before you offer.

2. How do Regional Programs (SciTech, IB) differ from local catchments?
Regional programs are application-based and merit/lottery driven. Living in the catchment of Glenforest (IB) doesn't guarantee a spot in the IB program, but living nearby removes the massive commute for specialized students.

3. How does the Hazel McCallion LRT impact long-term boundary stability?
Increased density along the Hurontario corridor often triggers boundary reviews. Buying in L5B or L5R requires an analysis of the 5-year development pipeline to ensure your school designation remains stable.

4. Can Catholic students attend Public French Immersion?
Yes. The Public board (PDSB) offers French Immersion to all residents, but entry is via a lottery at the Grade 1 level. If relocation is purely for FI, we must build a 'Dual-Track' contingency into your housing search.
